Anti‑infammatory response of cardamom extract and prediction of therapeutic window in COVID‑19 patients by assessing infammatory markers using RT‑PCR
To study the anti-infammatory response of RECOVEREEZ FORTE™ using RT-PCR based multiplex gene profling of infammatory markers in disease prognosis and show its predictability of worsening outcomes and its role in identifying therapeutic window for RECOVEREEZ FORTE™. To show the potentiality of RECOVEREEZ FORTE™ in reducing COVID-19 symptoms and SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Ct values of the treatment group.
A clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Recovereez Forte TM as an adjunct to COVID-19 treatment.

ANTI VIRAL ACTIVITY OF RECOVEREEZ FORTE IN SARS-COV2 DELTA VARIANT VIRUS
Interactive Research School for Health Affairs, (IRSHA) BVDU, Pune-Satara Road, Pure -411043 (INDIA)
Study Title: Evaluation of Recovereez Forte capsules
Conclusion:
1. Recovereez Forte capsules exhibited therapeutic activity when treated with cells infected with SARS-CoV2 virus Delta variant (0.1 MoI) 4 hour post infection with an EC50 value of 22.76 µg/ml, with a Selectivity index (SI) value of 1.83.
2. Recovereez Forte capsules when incubated with SARS-CoV2 virus (0.1 MoI) for, 2 hour exhibited virucidal activity against SARS-CoV2 Delta variant with no trend observed in relative CPE inhibition as increasing concentration of the drug.
Anti Viral Activity of RECOVEREEZ FORTE in SARS-CoV2 virus
Interactive Research School for Health Affairs, (IRSHA) BVDU, Pune-Satara Road, Pure -411043 (INDIA)
Study Title: Evaluation of Recovereez Forte capsules
Conclusion:
1. Recovereez Forte capsules exhibited prophylactic activity against SARS-CoV2 when pre-treated with Vero cell line for 1, 2 and 4 hours followed by infection at 0.1 Mol with an ECso value of 46.5 Hg/ml, 34.9 pug/ml and 19.9 pug/ml and Selectivity index (SI) value of o.90,1.20 and 2.10 respectively.
2. Recovereez Forte capsules exhibited therapeutic activity when treated with cells infected with SARS-CoV2 virus (0.1 Mol) 1 hour, 2 hour and 4 hour post infection with an EC5o value of 20.4 ng/ml, 21.5 pug/ml and 19.3 Hg/ml with a Selectivity index (SI) value of 2.05,1.95 and 2.16 respectively.
3. Recovereez Forte capsules when incubated with SARS-CoV2 virus (0.1 Mol) for, 2 hour exhibited virucidal activity against SARS-CoV2 with an EC50 value of 1133.0 pug/ml and Selectivity index (SI) value of 0.04.
Acute Oral Toxicity Test of RECOVEREEZ FORTE in Wistar Rats was conducted at TOXINDIA, Jejuri, Pune, Maharastra, India. This study was performed as per OECD423.
The HEK293T cells stably expressing human ACE2 were grown on 96 glass bottom plates and allowed
to grow for 24 hours. Then the cells were stained with fluorescent nuclear dye Hoechst 33342 at 5 μg per ml for five minutes.
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTION by ELISA assay in RAW 264.7 (monocyte/macrophages) cells showed significant potential to decrease
prominent inflammatory markers such as IL-6, IL1-β, TNF-α, TGF-β, COX,
LOX, MPO, iNOS and CELLULAR NITRATE LEVELS confirming the antiinflammatory nature of 1,8-Cineol, Recovereez and Memoreez capsules.
CYTOTOXICITY by MTT assay in L929 cells showed sufficient cell
viability confirming the non-cytotoxic nature of 1,8-Cineol, Recovereez
and Memoreez capsules.
When the L929 cells were exposed with 1,8-Cineol, Recovereez and
Memoreez capsule extracts, more than 60% cell viability was observed
indicating that the tested compounds are non-cytotoxic in nature.
ACUTE ORAL TOXICITY STUDY OF RECOVEREEZ (CAPSULES) IN WISTAR ALBINO RATS
Recovereez is such a Polyherbal formulation in a capsule form. Active ingredients in this
formulation are Cardamom extract and Piperine. But, it does not have any scientific evidence on
the safety aspects. So a preclinical experiment is required to scientifically validate its safety. Hence
the objective of this study was to assess the toxic potential of Recovereez capsules, when
administered by oral gavage, in a single dose to Wistar rats.
A mini review on the bioactive compounds in dried cardamom seed and its leaf.
The extensive convenience and approval of synthetic compounds for
addressing human health have quite a few side effects in addition to
higher prices. Exploring natural bioactive compounds is of utmost
interest and demand. Cardamom has been used traditionally for
numerous therapeutic benefits and are relevant in the light of modern
pharmaceutical perspective….
